Airlines have lost a huge part of their capital in the pandemic era

It is sad to note that airlines are struggling and trying their best to survive. They are operating with 30% of staff and most of their planes are grounded due to lack of passengers. Maybe we can help the airlines in their recovery program by buying discounted tickets in advance of 6 months. You buy now (February) for a flight in August. The money you pay for the ticket can help the airline somehow. It would be a disaster if most of the airlines would close shop.

That's a good idea but anything can happen within those 6 months. Things like lockdown or sudden emergencies. I think it would take another few years for the airlines to be stable and back to fulltime business. I don't think 6 months is enough to help them recover all they have lost.
