Beware of renting a vehicle with driver

In the news the other day is the rented car that turned out to be driven by a holdupper. The client was surprised when the car arrived with a different make and plate number. The driver said that there was a sudden change. But what really happened was the call was intercepted and forwarded to the criminal. The rider lost her handbag and belongings. Fortunately she was not raped.

That is so terrible. Such bad things have happened with many people, In India, there have been a few such incidents with Uber and Ola drivers, but such are far and few. Most drivers are usually honest and trustworthy. We personally prefer to rent cabs with drivers whom we have known for some years and generally avoid unknown drivers, especially for traveling long distances.
