Buying an expensive pet is adding stress

Our dogs are not the expensive dogs. We actually do not buy a pet and our dogs are gifts to us by friends. When a close friend bought an expensive dog from the pet center here I had seen his facial expression on the price. After some time he complained that he was always worried of the dog because it might get sick. I know that the price of the dog was what's on his mind. That is probably a good lesson when buying a pet.

Expensive dogs as per my knowledge are also very expensive to maintain and need expensive specialized pet food. The costs for regular visits to the vets are also quite high, so I think it is better to keep only the local animals as pets as they are healthy and hardy and do not need any specialized food or medicines.
