Houses in tropical countries must be screened

The screen door is very important in our country because of the mosquitoes and flies. Our windows are also screened. When we put food on the dining table we are assured that there will be no flying insects that may feast on the food. Especially now that dengue disease is prevalent again barring the mosquito inside our home is the best protection. Dengue is spread by mosquito bites while cholera is usually spread by flies.

We have never done that type of protection. We have mosquitoes here where I live in the city.

We use mosquito nets and doom spray to keep mosquitoes away. Some families use mosquito repellant oil on their skin before they go to bed so the mosquitoes won't bite them.

But I've never known about screening windows and doors to keep insects away from the house.
