How does your government deal with strikes?

We have had many strikes in my country over the years. For example doctors striking so they can have their salaries increased.

Teachers striking and employees striking because of delayed salaries.

We also have students striking because of increased school fees, delayed graduation and lack of teaching in classes.

Most of the time the government promises to do what they want and the strike ends but it starts again another year.

How does your government deal with strikes?

Our government is very lenient on any kind of people's gathering like strikes, ignition rallies or whatever to dramatize their injustice imposed on them or exploitation. Our government has a maximum tolerance on that kind of unionism while airing their dissatisfaction. We have a democratic country. The people's rights are honored and respected.

You really have a good government. Since the rights of people are honored, that makes it a good place to live.

We have a democratic government too but the problem is corruption. This means that many people's right is exploited because of corruption. But the strike helps sometimes for people's voice to be heard.

But corruption is really prevalent in our country too. It's unavoidable for the politicians to indulge in graft and corruption.

In the olden days strikes of workers are kind of aggressive and the response of companies are harsh. But now the government had eased down on the issue of strikes by dealing with the union leaders in a peaceful and amicable manner. I have not heard of a debilitating strikes anymore like before when the company would close down due to the very long strike of the workers. I hope this business atmosphere would remain to continue the progress of our economy.
