I posted a picture of some of my flowers yesterday and Alexandoy said he really liked them. That gave me an idea to start this thread. I just hope that everyone likes and participates in this. Let us post one picture a day of something that made us happy and forget our troubles for a moment. Any little thing, even silly thing is welcome here. Just to make us all smile! Cheers!

Here is mine, this photo is not new, it was taken a few months ago by my son but I just found it and wanted to share it with you all.

It looks to me that it is a squirrel holding a nut or acorn. We do not have squirrels here but I saw some of the squirrels many times when I was in London. They love the big trees with nuts like the chestnut tree near our apartment. I am not exactly a wildlife lover but when it comes to animals I have a soft spot for them. Even in our home I cherish the visiting birds of different colors.

Yes, this is a squirrel who is hanging upside down from the cluster fig tree which grew right outside my kitchen window, eating the cluster fig. If you click on picture, you can see it better in a larger version. Sadly, the tree has been cut down by our next door neighbouring apartment residents so it no longer comes to visit.

My wife has several kinds of ornamental plants and flowers. Others who have seen them said that the plants are cost so much. But my wife isn't selling them. Planting and caring them is here hobby for her past time. And sometimes she does them regularly.

This is another bird that often comes to our window, a Magpie robin. Clicked by my son.
That's a beautiful bird. I love bird watching. One day, I happened to see a fantail bird teasing a strolling cat in the lawn. The cat doesn't mind it though it keeps in swooping down and picking the back of the cat.

This is how the bird looks like in the photo below.

Beautiful catch! Fan-tailed flycatcher is also one of the birds that often come to our window. It is beautiful and a pleasure to watch it flitting around the branches with its tail spread out like a fan.

Bird watching is one of my hobbies. I usually stay behind after my walking exercise if I happened to see birds playing with fellow birds on the leaves or running after a mate on the ground. Sometimes I spotted them alighting on the street light wire cuddling each other.

I like watching birds too. Its a real pleasure to see them preening their feathers and chirping on the branches of the trees.

For me, bird watching is aid to get out from being downtrodden or depressed and stressful. Birds jumping from one branch to another is entertaining for me. And listening to their sweet chirping is pleasurable.

Yes, watching birds indeed is an activity that will make you feel really happy and contented because it takes you close to the nature and studies have proved that the more closer you are to nature, the more healthier and happier you will be.

I do agree with you. Not only you will truly convinced that there's a Great Creator who gives us the nature to convince us that God does exist.

You made an important point. The beauty and vastness of the nature does prove that there is existence of a greater or a Supreme Being, the God.

Amen to that statement of yours. Let's be grateful that we have the nature to keep us alive for they give us the oxygen that our body needs and the foods to fill our empty tummy, etc.

God is good. He keeps us to live so as we could serve our fellow beings.

Truly we do need to be and have plenty to be grateful about!

Its been a while since I posted any photograph. I just found a lovely one from last year's summer. This is the picture of the beautiful Jacaranda blooms of the tree planted in the next door lot. I can see these flowers from my bedroom window. I can't wait to see this year's blooms now.
