Its been a while since I posted any photograph. I just found a lovely one from last year's summer. This is the picture of the beautiful Jacaranda blooms of the tree planted in the next door lot. I can see these flowers from my bedroom window. I can't wait to see this year's blooms now.

Beauriful Jacanda flower! How often does it bloom in a year?

Very nice. They could add beauty to nature for three months. How are they being propagated? Is it by seeds or by cutting?
Its a big tree and they propagate via seeds. Although, these trees are not native to India, they belong to the south American countries, and some regions of Africa. It was probably brought by someone who liked it. Now it is seen around many places, especially in public gardens and lining the streets.

There is beauty in everything we see around us. Every aspect of nature is beautiful, provided you know how to appreciate it. It need be brightly coloured or beautiful smelling for it to be lovely, like this little beetle we found the beach one day. It looks so nice and blends in harmoniously with the sand.

There are insects that could harmonize with the surrounding where they live. The chameleon changes its color whenever it alights or touches to any plants, branches or twigs.

There is a place about a 100 kilometres from my city where in winters, marshy lands are exposed as the waters from the river recede. Thousands of flamingoes and other migratory birds visit this place and it has become a favorite spot among nature lovers and bird photographers. My son also went there this Saturday with a group and he took quite a nice collection of pictures. Just wanted to share one of them.

Here is another picture from his trip. This is a grey heron sitting on top of tree. I really like his long black crest on his head.

Portrait of really handsome rooster my husband took a picture of while we were visiting a coastal village. I really love this one, just look at his expressions! So majestic!
