Porridge is an old time favorite in our culinary culture. But with the modern times the porridge had given way to fast food items like hamburger, pizza and pasta. Now the porridge is trying to make a comeback. In our home we cook porridge during the rainy and cold season. The main ingredient is beef bones so the soup would be delicious. The porridge is very easy to cook. Just saute garlic, onion and ginger in a pan before mixing it with the broth of the beef that will be used to cook the glutinous rice. The seasoning is either salt or fish sauce. That's it.

I think you talking about soup,in my country porridge is not made like that.you use millet or sorghum flour which is a good meal for all ages but the best for babies.
