I have learned recently that the Catholic church in our town is providing scholarship to poor students. However, the scholarship grant is selective as to be assured that the deserving student has good grades in school and also from an indigent family. To me, that is a good note because the rich families do not really need the financial support of the church. I hope that there would be no disguising by some enterprising people to make it appear that they are poor.
