The wet market vs the supermarket

The poor people here seldom go to the supermarket if what they would buy are items that are available in the wet market. Vegetables, fish and meat are sold cheap in the wet market and they are fresh too. I also go to the wet market almost everyday and I only go to the supermarket to buy canned goods, chocolates and other items that are not found in the wet market. How much is the savings that I get from buying in the wet market? It is around 5% up to 10% depending on the item that I bought.

The wet market here is where you can buy wet items particularly fish and seafood. However, the wet market is actually the counterpart of the supermarket since the wet market has all the food items that we need for the day - meat (pork, beef, chicken and exotic meat like goat's meat), vegetables of all kinds, fruits of all kinds and even cooked food for meals or snacks. I grew up with the wet market because in the olden times the supermarket is only for the rich shoppers.
